Position Summary
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for preparing and processing customer shipments and inventory receipts while ensuring compliance with company procedures, customer routing guides, and carrier requirements. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and truck drivers in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Note: Most aspects of this position are trainable with the right candidate. The ideal associate should possess strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Two paid 10-minute breaks
- 30-minute unpaid lunch
Work Environment
- Position is located in a warehouse office cubicle environment.
- Must follow all warehouse policies, procedures, and dress code requirements.
- This is primarily a seated position with occasional walking throughout the warehouse.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential, as this position greets incoming truck drivers, carriers, and visitors throughout the day.
Primary Responsibilities
- Schedule shipment appointments through customer routing systems (Vendor Central, Retail Link, MacysNet, etc.).
- Prepare Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documents, invoices, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs).
- Communicate with customers and carriers regarding shipment delays, missed pickups, and delivery issues.
- Review routing guides to ensure shipping compliance and prevent chargebacks.
- Schedule daily Truckload (TL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) carrier pickups.
- Check in truck drivers and assign loading doors.
- Monitor carrier arrivals and reschedule appointments as needed.
- Track outbound shipments and maintain shipping schedules.
- Process Proofs of Delivery (PODs), claims, and chargebacks.
- Prepare export documentation.
- Maintain inbound container records and receiving paperwork.
- Cross-train within the logistics department and assist in other operational areas as needed.
Qualifications Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Warehouse, shipping, receiving, or transportation experience.
- Experience with TL/LTL shipping operations.
- Experience using customer routing systems such as Vendor Central, Retail Link, or similar platforms.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); PKMS experience is a plus.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and especially Microsoft Excel (beyond basic Excel knowledge).
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to quickly learn multiple customer shipping and receiving processes.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 35 pounds (average lifting is less than 10 pounds).
- Reach above shoulder level and bend to floor level.
- Sit at a workstation for 8–10 hours per day, with occasional walking throughout the warehouse.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
