The Youth Development Specialist mentors and supports youth ages 10–21 participating in MACG’s GVINE program. This role focuses on building positive relationships with youth, facilitating skill-building activities, and helping young people stay engaged in positive programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and support youth participants through regular one-on-one meetings
- Manage a caseload of 20–40 youth
- Facilitate small and large group workshops focused on social-emotional development
- Support youth engagement and participation in program activities
- Maintain documentation of mentoring sessions and participant progress
- Collaborate with program staff and community partners
- Assist with MACG events and activities
- Complete reports and timesheets in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2–4 years of experience working with youth preferred
- Experience working with youth ages 10–24
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and community partners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms
- Valid PA Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
- Ability to pass child abuse, FBI, and criminal background clearances
Pay: $23.84 - $28.72 per hour
