Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere, and supporting the developmental growth of children across early childhood education settings. Your leadership will ensure that each student receives personalized attention, promotes inclusive learning experiences, and meets their individual educational goals. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote active participation, curiosity, and foundational skills in young children.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavioral management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those with disabilities or developmental delays, through regular communication and progress updates.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality instructional delivery and classroom management.
- Conduct assessments of student progress using standardized testing and observational methods; adapt lesson plans accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavioral plans, and other documentation required for special education services.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or private school environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and behavioral health strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and library services for young learners.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges; training in speech therapy or behavioral therapy is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and specialists.
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently while fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
