Overview :.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality oral care and education to patients, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. As a key member of our dental team, you will play an essential role in promoting good oral health practices and assisting in the overall patient experience.
Duties
- Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Document patient information accurately, including treatment plans and progress notes.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
- Stay updated with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and documentation review.
Skills
- Proficient in dental office protocols and procedures.
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique to prevent infection.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and assess patient conditions.
- Experience in dental assisting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and interaction.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and patient assessment.
