About the Role:
WagMore Animal Hospital is looking for a talented and passionate Dog Groomer to join our caring team in Saint Charles, MO! Responsibilities:
- Perform full-service dog grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, and haircuts
- Trim nails, clean ears, and provide other finishing grooming services
- Assess each dog's coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming treatments
- Safely handle dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized grooming area and equipment
- Communicate with pet owners regarding grooming preferences and coat health
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to flag any skin, coat, or health concerns observed during grooming
Requirements:
- Prior professional dog grooming experience required
- Proficiency in breed-specific cuts and grooming styles
- Ability to safely restrain and handle anxious or reactive dogs
- Strong knowledge of grooming tools, equipment, and grooming products
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Compassionate, patient, and calm demeanor around animals
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
