As a Manufacturing Technician – Optimus, you will help build the future of robotics on Tesla’s Optimus production lines in Austin, TX. Working hands-on across highly automated assembly lines, you will be the go-to person who keeps processes running, responds rapidly when something goes wrong, and drives the improvements that turn a brand-new production system into a world-class operation.

What You'll Do-
Provide daily coverage of Optimus production line processes to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operations, including a rapid response to out-of-control processes to minimize cost and maximize throughput

Lead disposition of non-conforming material produced by the production line and escalate as needed

Investigate and implement countermeasures to improve product yield, station uptime, and reduce aging WIP

Support Engineering and Manufacturing teams in improving and writing manufacturing instructions and rework procedures

Execute trials and analyze data under the direction of process engineers to qualify new processes, calibration procedures and equipment

Trial new parts and processes alongside the New Product Introduction (NPI) team and support Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives

Perform quality audits to proactively identify potential issues, partnering with the quality team

Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Production, Engineering, Quality, NPI, and Maintenance to enhance manufacturability, line productivity, and overall operational performance
