About Kyo Motion
Kyo Motion is a Los Angeles-based independent film production company dedicated to developing commercially successful, globally marketable, and artistically meaningful feature films.
Our current slate includes multiple feature film projects across psychological thriller, science fiction, drama, and commercial genres. We are building a long-term studio with the ambition to produce award-winning films while developing projects for the global marketplace.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company—not simply work for one.
Position Summary
This is a full-time opportunity to work directly with the Founder across multiple active feature film projects.
The ideal candidate is passionate about filmmaking, highly organized, an exceptional communicator, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will play a key role in film development, project packaging, production planning, and industry outreach.
This position is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career as a Producer within a growing film company.
Key ResponsibilitiesFilm Development
- Develop professional pitch decks, lookbooks, presentations, and financing materials.
- Assist in screenplay development, script coverage, research, and project packaging.
- Organize development materials and maintain project documentation.
- Conduct market research and analyze comparable films, talent, and distribution opportunities.
Production
- Support projects from development through pre-production.
- Coordinate production schedules, budgets, vendors, and production logistics.
- Assist with hiring crew and coordinating production resources.
- Prepare production documents and maintain project timelines.
Industry Relations
- Communicate professionally with film festivals, screenplay competitions, agencies, management companies, producers, studios, financiers, and other industry partners.
- Draft high-quality business correspondence and follow-up communications.
- Track submissions, meetings, and development opportunities.
Company Operations
- Maintain company databases, cloud storage, project files, and internal systems.
- Assist with company presentations, website content, marketing materials, and business development initiatives.
- Improve operational workflows as the company continues to grow.
Success in This Role
The successful candidate will:
- Manage and support 6–8 feature film projects simultaneously.
- Deliver high-quality pitch materials with exceptional attention to detail.
- Keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward.
- Build strong professional relationships across the entertainment industry.
- Communicate confidently and professionally on behalf of the company.
- Solve problems proactively with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and strong execution.
- Grow into increasing leadership responsibilities as the company expands.
QualificationsRequired
- Bachelor's degree in Film, Producing, Directing, Entertainment, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in film production, development, entertainment, or a related industry.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational and project management abilities.
- Strong presentation and PowerPoint/Google Slides skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for filmmaking and independent cinema.
Preferred
- Background from AFI, USC, UCLA, Chapman, LMU, NYU, or equivalent film programs.
- Experience working on narrative feature films.
- Experience as a Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, Development Assistant, or similar role.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Notion, Airtable, Final Draft, Movie Magic, or other production software.

Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 40 hours per week
- Additional flexibility may be required during active productions.
Work Environment
Primary office is located in Santa Monica.
Creative meetings and project collaboration may also take place at Soho House locations throughout Los Angeles, depending on project needs.
