Hyatt Regency San Francisco is seeking a professional, energetic, and service-focused Banquet Bar Attendant to support banquet and event beverage service.
The Banquet Bar Attendant is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and breaking down beverage stations for meetings, receptions, weddings, conferences, and special events. This role supports the banquet team by preparing beverage service areas, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and helping ensure a seamless guest experience throughout each function. The ideal candidate is polished, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced event environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain banquet bar and beverage stations according to event orders and service standards.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for banquets, receptions, meetings, and special events.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of beverage stations, service areas, glassware, equipment, and storage areas.
- Restock beer, wine, liquor, mixers, ice, garnishes, glassware, and other beverage supplies as needed.
- Assist with beverage service for plated dinners, buffets, receptions, coffee breaks, and special functions.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to beverage requests and service needs.
- Follow responsible alcohol service procedures and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
- Check identification when required and refuse service when appropriate in a professional manner.
- Communicate event needs, supply shortages, guest concerns, or service issues to banquet leadership.
- Work closely with banquet servers, banquet captains, culinary, stewarding, and event teams to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist with opening, closing, side work, cleaning, and breakdown duties.
- Handle trays, bottles, glassware, beverage carts, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
- Perform other banquet and beverage duties as assigned.
This is an hourly position with a compensation of 25.25 per hour.
