Duties
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to ensure high standards of customer service and operational efficiency
- Manage daily store operations such as opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and sales transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to maintain optimal product availability and presentation
- Develop and implement sales strategies, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities to boost store revenue and customer engagement
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and financial procedures including payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash management
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training & development programs to build a skilled team
- Utilize strong communication skills to resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively while fostering a welcoming shopping environment
- Coordinate shift management schedules ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak hours and special events
- Perform regular store audits focusing on inventory accuracy, pricing integrity, merchandising standards, and overall cleanliness
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail environments with demonstrated leadership capabilities in supervising teams and managing store operations
- Strong background in retail sales management with expertise in inventory control, merchandising, POS systems, and cash handling
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting performance evaluations
- Knowledge of retail math including pricing strategies, sales analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous but not mandatory
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting; strong communication skills are essential for team coordination and customer interactions
