Safety Technician – $22-$25/hr – Alachua, FL (Long-Term Project)
We're hiring an experienced Safety Technician for a long-term commercial construction project in Alachua, FL. If you have a strong safety background and enjoy helping maintain a safe, compliant jobsite, this is a great opportunity with steady work through October 2026 (with potential extension).
Pay & Schedule
- $22-$25/hour (based on experience)
- Monday-Friday
- 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Long-term project through October 2026
- Potential for project extension
- Weekly pay
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Identify hazards and help implement corrective actions
- Perform safety observations and document findings using digital safety software or mobile auditing apps
- Assist with incident reporting and investigations
- Monitor PPE compliance and ensure all workers follow project safety requirements
- Support toolbox talks and promote a strong safety culture
- Work closely with field supervisors and project management to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
- 3+ years of construction safety experience
- OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
- Current CPR / First Aid Certification (Required)
- Ability to climb ladders and work safely throughout active construction sites
- Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, or digital safety software for inspections and reporting
- Must pass a background check
- Must pass a drug screen
PPE Requirements
- ANSI-approved hard hat
- ANSI safety glasses with side shields
- Class 2 or Class 3 high-visibility vest
- ASTM-rated safety boots
- Appropriate safety gloves
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
