Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Engineer / Drafter to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating conceptual ideas into precise technical drawings, supporting the development of construction and engineering projects. Your expertise in CAD software tools will drive the creation of accurate schematics, construction details, and system designs. Duties
- Develop detailed 2D drawings, schematics, and construction documentation using CAD software primarily AutoCAD,.
- Apply building code analysis to ensure designs meet local regulations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to produce schematic layouts, interior designs, and system design documentation.
- Assist with determining project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Prepare construction detail documentation that clearly communicates design intent for fabrication and installation.
- Generate quantified bill of materials for the purchasing and estimating department
- Conduct reviews of drafting work for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project specifications and building codes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CAD drafting and engineering design within construction or architectural environments.
- Proficiency in CAD software, AutoCAD preferred, for markup and collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of building code compliance, and construction detail documentation.
- Experience with mechanical design, interior design concepts or graphic design is a plus.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering specifications accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
