Job Description
Position: Rodbuster
We are seeking dependable, hard-working individuals with positive attitudes to join our production team.
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the department foreman, the Rodbuster is responsible for safely and efficiently performing assigned duties, including but not limited to the following:
· Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
· Cut, tie, and place rebar into forms according to specifications.
· Maintain a clean work area that is free of debris and safety hazards.
· Follow NPCC guidelines and safety procedures daily.
Qualifications, Skills, and Physical Requirements:
· Excellent attendance, accountability, integrity, attention to detail, and self-motivation.
· At least 2 years of commercial construction or rebar experience preferred.
· Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings to determine the size, shape, and placement of rebar.
· Ability to measure, cut, and bend steel using bending machines, shears, and rebar tools.
· Ability to position rebar into precast molds and ensure all steel meets project specifications and industry tolerances.
· Completion of required equipment inspections, department-specific training, and safety training.
· Experience using manual tying tools, grinders, and power tools.
· Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16-inch accuracy.
· Ability to perform physically demanding work, including frequent bending, kneeling, walking, and standing on hard surfaces.
· Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
· Ability to work in hot, cold, and wet conditions while strictly adhering to all safety regulations.
Availability:
· Availability to work overtime as needed.
· Availability to work weekend hours based on production requirements.
Schedule:
· Day shift.
· Monday through Friday.
· Weekend hours may be required based on production needs.
Additional Information:
· Job duties, hours, and pay rate may vary depending on the needs of NPCC. Employees may be asked to temporarily assist in another department or may be permanently reassigned when deemed necessary by management to meet NPCC production requirements.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
