Job Summary
Join our vibrant hospitality team as a Host, Hostess, busser and/or Server Assistant, where your enthusiasm and excellent communication skills will create memorable guest experiences from the moment they arrive. In this dynamic role, you will handle reservations, greet and seat guests with warmth and professionalism, assist servers during busy service periods, and ensure smooth restaurant operations. You will also be required to answer phone for both the purpose of reservations, as well as taking carry out food orders. Your positive attitude and organizational skills will help foster a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservations efficiently through phone reservations and restaurant mapping
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and providing menus promptly.
- Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, answering questions about reservations, wait times, and menu items.
- Assist servers by delivering food and beverages, resetting tables quickly after guests depart, and supporting overall restaurant flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and courteously to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Use POS systems to process guest orders accurately when needed and support cashier functions during busy periods.
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment with strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and restaurant table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, to engage with guests professionally.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a lively setting.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions or POS system entries accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper guest relations techniques to enhance the dining experience.
- Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow seamlessly.
