Job Description:
· To liaise with the customer and also have skills to perform as an individual contributor working on cost estimation (should cost) for selected commodities (Sheet metal, machining, plastics)
Job Requirements:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work very closely with customer.
- Attend customer meetings and represent Caresoft for quality and delivery.
- Close co-ordination with offshore team and have updated information on project status.
- Contribution to business improvement and project Caresoft’s skills and capabilities for extended offshore support.
- Trigger corrective and preventive actions wherever quality and delivery are challenged.
- Good co-ordination skills, work management & time management skills.
- Focused approach for achieving the KPI metrics.
- Supporting the team whenever required (both technical and operational).
- Thorough knowledge about quality control processes.
- Representation in meeting with internal and external customers for CE services.
- Preparation of presentation slides.
Technical Requirements:
- Should be well versed with Drawing study & manufacturing technique.
- Very good knowledge in selected commodity.
- Well aware of Method & Process identification.
- Strong experience in raw material prices, sources, machine selection & Cycle time calculation and labour cost calculation.
- Should be aware of welding process & cost implications for welding.
- Should have knowledge on Costing/Estimation process & deriving the Should cost for the given assembly/component.
- Should be capable of process identification for casting/forging/machining manufacturing process.
Desirable
- Generate ideas on cost saving by competitive benchmarking.
- Knowledge on VA/VE process, approach and cost estimation.
- Knowledge on tool cost estimation.
Tools:
- Proficiency in using MS office
- Any costing tool experience like Costimator, aPriori, Hyperlean, etc.
Educational skills/experience:
- Should have 10 - 12 years of experience in any of the following industries - Auto ancillary, Automobile industries (OEM), Agriculture, Construction Equipment, Engineering Services Organization.
- Bachelors / Masters in (Mechanical / Production / Automobile)
