Midwest Hardwood is actively seeking to hire a Gang Rip Supervisor to join our growing, fast-paced lumber industry. If you enjoy working in manufacturing and making quick decisions while working under pressure, this is the job for you!

Midwest Hardwood Company is a hardwood manufacturing company and industrial building product distributor serving domestic and international customers since 1981.
Job Duties:
-Responsible for leading a team of approximately 8-10 people
-Helping oversee operations in a diverse, fast-paced hardwood lumber manufacturing environment
-Proven track record of manufacturing experience
-Ability to communicate with others in a positive manner through verbal and written means
-Be highly organized and detail oriented
-Possess strong leadership qualities
-Ensure equipment, supplies, and production area is in appropriate working condition
-Proficient with technology
-Monitor, maintain, and operate machinery on production floor
-Assists with administrative tasks
-Identify and assist in resolving safety, quality, and productivity issues
-Ensure the proper lumber is being scanned through Vision Tally
-Entering correct item codes and generating tags
-Communicating relevant updates with the shipping department on orders
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 5 AM-2:30 PM with occasional overtime
Requirements:
-Previous manufacturing, supervision, and forklift experience
-Attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and effective communication
-The ability to twist, bend, and lift 50 lbs repetitively
-Great organizational skills
-Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
-General computer knowledge/experience and attention to detail
-Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time and work in varying weather conditions
-Willing to cross train in other roles
-Varying warehouse experience
Experience:
-Manufacturing: 5 yr (Preferred)
-Machine Operator: 3 yr (Preferred)
-Forklift: 3 yr (Required)
Job Environment:
-Noisy, fast-paced, standing long periods of time, semi-dirty, not climate controlled
Pay is depending on experience
