Shipping/Inventory Specialist
Location: Nampa. ID
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 DOE
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping/Inventory Specialist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, monitoring stock, coordinating with vendors, and supporting daily production by ensuring materials are available when needed. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent inventory levels, placing orders for new stock up to the pre-authorized limit as inventory decreases.
- Prepare customer invoices based on their specific shipping requirements.
- Coordinate with courier companies to identify the most efficient shipping routes.
- Communicate with shippers to provide accurate rate information.
- Manage high volumes of packages while maintaining organization.
- Assist with routing tasks to ensure efficient delivery schedules.
- Track packages in transit to ensure they reach their destination on time.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of shipment information.
- Operate forklifts as required
- Establish and maintain backup sources for high-demand items to prevent stockouts.
- Analyze inventory reports and order patterns to identify items requiring automatic, recurring deliveries.
- Provide regular inventory reports to the Purchasing Manager for review and planning.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and support.
- Keep accurate daily records of goods received and shipments processed.
- Oversee and maintain the inventory management system, ensuring proper software/database updates as directed by the Purchasing Supervisor.
- Conduct frequent spot audits and partial physical inventory checks.
- Assist with daily physical inventory audits as needed.
- Operate a forklift when necessary. Certification will be provided in-house.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous inventory, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment and hand tools is a plus.
- Basic computer skills and experience using inventory software or databases preferred.
- Forklift experience

- Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with production staff, the purchasing department, and external vendors.
- Basic understanding of inventory control processes and procedures.
- Proficient keyboarding skills and familiarity with inventory software.
- Highly organized with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Capable of building professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in basic math calculations and measurements.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Able to work effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and integrity.
- Reliable, with a commitment to regular and timely attendance.
