Serafina Ristorante is looking for passionate, dependable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our culinary team. We prepare our food from scratch using quality ingredients and believe that consistency, teamwork, and attention to detail are the foundation of a great kitchen.
Whether you're an experienced line cook or looking to continue growing your culinary career, you'll work alongside talented chefs in a fast-paced, professional environment where craftsmanship and hospitality matter.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and chef specifications.
- Assist with daily prep, including sauces, vegetables, proteins, pasta, and other mise en place.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstations throughout each shift.
- Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.
- Ensure every dish is prepared consistently and presented to Serafina's standards.
- Communicate effectively with the culinary team to maintain an efficient service.
- Monitor product quality and notify chefs of inventory or quality concerns.
- Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating inventory, and minimizing waste.
- Support kitchen opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment and work areas.
- Work collaboratively with fellow cooks and chefs to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant kitchen experience preferred.
- Passion for cooking and learning new techniques.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen.
- Dependable with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
