Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic environment supporting students of all ages with your expertise as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This is a full-time, onsite contract opportunity beginning with New Hire Orientation from August 12th to 14th, for the 2026–2027 academic year. You'll be making a meaningful difference, working 35 hours each week with students in grades K–12, in a specialized setting designed to foster growth and independence for students with unique needs.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Illinois OT or COTA license is required. Be prepared to submit your license with your application.
- Previous experience working in school-based or pediatric settings, ideally with special education populations, is strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a student-centered approach to therapy.
- Ability to adapt techniques and therapy plans for varying grade levels and ability levels.
- Skilled at building trust with students, educators, and families.
- Willingness to work onsite each day.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services for a diverse caseload (K–12; specific grades and numbers to be determined).
- Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering student participation and independence in the school environment.
- Collaborate with educators, multidisciplinary teams, and families to implement IEPs and support students’ unique needs.
- Conduct assessments and document progress according to established protocols and timelines.
- Participate in meetings, contribute to team discussions, and serve as a resource for school staff.
