Role Overview
Academian is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME Reviewer) in Entrepreneurship to support the review and validation of a Middle School Entrepreneurship CTE course.
The SME will review course content, storyboards, assessments, and other project deliverables to ensure accuracy, age-appropriateness, industry relevance, and alignment with course objectives. The SME will collaborate with Instructional Designers and project stakeholders throughout the course development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review the Course Design Document (CDD), storyboards, and instructional materials.
- Validate entrepreneurship, business fundamentals, financial literacy, marketing, innovation, and career readiness content.
- Review module and end-of-course assessments for alignment and rigor.
- Provide actionable feedback, recommend improvements, and identify content gaps.
- Participate in project meetings and support quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in entrepreneurship, business, startup ecosystems, business education, or a related discipline.
- Experience reviewing curriculum, educational content, or assessments.
- Strong communication, analytical, and content review skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching Entrepreneurship, Business, Marketing, Financial Literacy, or Career & Technical Education (CTE).
- Experience collaborating with instructional design teams and digital learning projects.
Engagement
- Project Duration: Approximately 6 months.
- Commitment: 2–3 hours per day during active review phases.
- Participate in weekly project meetings and provide timely feedback during U.S. business hours.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
