Position Summary
The Inventory Manager will oversee SBI's company-wide inventory and asset management program, serving as the primary administrator of our Asset Panda inventory management system.T
his position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of company assets, tracking equipment movement, conducting inventory audits, and ensuring the integrity of our inventory management processes.
While the primary focus of this role is inventory and asset management, the Inventory Manager will also work from SBI's warehouse (located in Fremont) and assist with day-to-day warehouse operations as needed. Maintaining familiarity with warehouse activities is essential to ensuring inventory accuracy and supporting the movement of equipment to and from active jobsites.
This role works closely with our Operations Manager, project teams, and field personnel to support equipment readiness and continuously improve inventory procedures. Responsibilities may evolve to support the company's operational needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory & Asset Management (Primary Focus)
- Serve as the primary administrator of SBI's Asset Panda platform.
- Maintain accurate records for company-owned assets, including tools, equipment, vehicles, generators, lighting, temporary power equipment, office assets, and other inventory.
- Track asset movement between the warehouse, jobsites, and employees.
- Maintain accurate equipment assignments and locations.
- Create and maintain barcode/QR code labeling.
- Conduct routine inventory counts and audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Develop and improve inventory control procedures and documentation.
- Identify opportunities to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Maintain historical records of asset maintenance, transfers, and replacements.
Warehouse Support
- Work from SBI's Fremont warehouse as the primary inventory representative.
- Receive, organize, and stage incoming equipment and materials.
- Verify inventory during receiving and outgoing shipments.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Perform periodic warehouse inspections to ensure inventory is properly stored and labeled.
- Support equipment preparation for upcoming projects.
Operations Support
- Coordinate equipment availability with project teams.
- Support the Operations Manager with inventory-related logistics.
- Respond to equipment requests from field personnel.
- Assist with company-wide equipment planning and inventory availability.
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain accurate equipment records.
- Support additional operational initiatives as business needs evolve.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience using Asset Panda or a comparable inventory or asset management platform.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to learn new software and technology.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred
- Construction industry experience.
- Inventory, asset management, or warehouse experience.
- Forklift/telehandler certification (or willingness to obtain).

Pay: $70,304.00 - $105,000.00 per year
