- Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent (required).
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Perform radiographic exams across multiple modalities while ensuring patient safety, diagnostic accuracy, and high-quality service as part of a multidisciplinary imaging team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides technical radiographic skills and supports efficient workflow in assigned treatment areas.
- Performs radiologic procedures following unit-based standards of practice and safety guidelines.
- Positions patients, adjusts equipment, and consistently produces high-quality diagnostic images.
- Prepares and maintains exam rooms; utilizes immobilization devices to ensure safe and accurate imaging.
- Corroborates patient history with ordered procedures and explains imaging steps to minimize anxiety.
- Applies radiation protection principles and uses monitoring devices appropriately.
- Operates radiography equipment, accessories, and digital imaging systems, including PACS.
- Evaluates images, adjusts technique parameters, and documents results in the electronic chart.
- Maintains supply inventory and reports equipment malfunctions.
- Ensures informed consent, required lab work, and regulatory documentation are complete.
- Demonstrates courtesy, professionalism, and effective communication with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Supervises or provides instruction to radiologic technology students as needed.
- Maintains compliance with regulatory agencies, including Joint Commission, DEQ, CMS, ACR, FDA, and MQSA.
- Answers phones and greets guests using AIDET communication principles.
- Completes required education and maintains licensure and CPR.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in health related field preferred
Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent required.
SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and hold a current LA state license to perform in the capacity of radiographer.
