Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and specialized equipment for dry cleaning when necessary
- Sort, load, and unload laundry items with care, ensuring proper handling of delicate fabrics and special materials
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and organized for optimal performance
- Follow established procedures for stain removal, fabric care, and drying to uphold quality standards
- Assist with the collection and distribution of linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry items throughout the property
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and notify management when restocking is needed
- Adhere to safety protocols and environmental guidelines related to chemical use and waste disposal
Qualifications
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, dry cleaning, and stain treatment techniques
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety standards related to chemical handling
