Position Overview
Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to perioperative nursing staff, promoting best practices in ophthalmic surgery and patient care. Oversee preoperative assessments, intraoperative procedures, and postoperative care to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards. Coordinate daily surgical schedules, managing staffing needs and resource allocation efficiently to optimize patient flow. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced RN to serve as Perioperative Lead Nurse in our fast-paced Ophthalmoloty ASC. This role provides hands-on clinical leadership and real-time coordination of daily operations, supporting a high volume surgical environment.
This is a working leadership role-ideal for someone who thrives on the floor, keeps teams moving efficiently, and ensures a smooth patient experience from pre-op through discharge.
What You'll Do
- Lead day to day clinical operations accross pre-op, intra-op and PACU
- Direct staff assignments and adjust throughout the day to maintain flow
- Ensure coverage for lunches and breaks in a high-volume setting
- Coordinate closely with front desk to manage patient flow and minmize delays
- Monitor, order, and maintain adequate clinical supplies and room readiness
- Serve as the primary resource for RNs, LPNs, and CSTs during the surgical day
- Support onboarding and provide real-time guidance to staff
What This Role Is Not
- No approval of time-off requests
- No performance evaluations or disciplinary responsibilities
- No budgeting or high-level administrative duties
What We're Looking For
- Active RN License
- 3+ years of experience in ASC, ophthalmology, or perioperative setting preferred
- Strong ability to manage flow in a busy, high-throughput environment
- Excelent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to lead and support a multidisciplinary team

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
