Job Summary

Duties
- Assist skilled carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, drywall, ceilings, wall protection installation, and fixture setup to ensure efficient project progress
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as cutting, sanding, drilling, and assembling materials
- Support the installation of flooring, ceilings, finish packages, and other exterior or interior finishes
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, job site set up, and organizing materials for smooth workflow
- Learn to read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and assist with layout marking and measurements
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, drywall, and other building components while adhering to safety standards
Skills
- Interest in learning about the construction industry
- Knowledge of hand tools (hammers, saws, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) used in construction environments
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to follow safety guidelines at all times
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling tasks
