About the Role
We are seeking a Founding Lead Recruiter to build and scale our talent function from the ground up. This role is ideal for someone with 3–4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment and enjoys building processes, shaping culture, and partnering closely with leadership.
You will lead recruiting efforts across technical and operational functions, with a strong focus on engineering hiring including mechanical, manufacturing, software, and systems integration roles. As an early team member, you will also help establish recruiting infrastructure, onboarding programs, and broader people operations initiatives as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities

Own the full-cycle recruiting process for 5–8 active openings across technical and business functions.

Source, engage, interview, and close high-quality candidates for engineering and startup operations roles.

Partner closely with leadership, including the CEO, CTO, Chief of Staff, and Head of Construction, to achieve hiring goals.

Build and improve recruiting infrastructure, interview processes, training materials, and hiring documentation.

Manage and optimize ATS workflows using tools such as Ashby.

Support employees onboarding and help enhance the overall candidate and employee experience.

Contribute to employer branding and recruiting operations initiatives.

Help shape and maintain a strong, collaborative company culture during rapid growth.

Utilize sourcing and automation tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, Juicebox, and AI-driven recruiting platforms.
Qualifications

3–4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in startup or high-growth environments.

Proven experience hiring for technical roles including software, mechanical, manufacturing, or systems engineering.

Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Experience building recruiting processes and improving hiring operations.

Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Experience with ATS platforms such as Ashby preferred.

Comfortable wearing multiple hats across recruiting and people operations.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in early-stage startups or venture-backed companies.
