Supplemental Health Care is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a high school opportunity with a partnering school district in Raytown, Missouri. This position will support students in a Class Within a Class (CWC) and Resource Classroom setting while collaborating closely with another educator to provide instruction and support.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in a high school setting
- Co-teach Science and English 4 (Senior Level) courses alongside a general education teacher
- Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements
Qualifications
- Active Missouri Special Education teaching certification required
- Acceptable certifications include: Cross Categorical, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Moderate Disabilities
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
