Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components to ensure optimal operation.
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as mowing lawns, trimming trees, planting flowers, and managing garden beds to keep outdoor areas vibrant and inviting.
- Manage irrigation systems by installing, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to promote healthy plant growth and water efficiency.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as excavators for landscaping projects or minor construction tasks.
- Carry out snow plowing, de-icing walkways, and other winter maintenance tasks to ensure safety during inclement weather.
- Support tree care activities including pruning, trimming, and identifying plant species to promote healthy growth.
- Assist with hardscape projects such as installing pathways, retaining walls, or other outdoor structures to improve landscape functionality.
- Apply horticultural knowledge for plant identification, pesticide management, and soil care to sustain healthy landscapes.
- Support general maintenance requests across facilities including repairs, cleaning, and safety checks as needed.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Extensive landscape maintenance skills including mowing, lawn care, gardening, tree trimming, and plant identification.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair along with experience managing watering schedules for diverse landscapes.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently for construction or landscaping projects.
- Familiarity with pesticide management practices following safety regulations to protect plants and surrounding environments.
- Experience in snow plowing operations combined with winter weather preparedness skills.
- Construction experience with a focus on hardscape installation or outdoor structures is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles including soil health, plant care techniques, and pest control strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $24.84 - $29.92 per hour
