Private optometry practice seeking to add a second full-time optician to our team. Previous optical experience not necessary, willing to train candidate with the right attitude, personality and communication skills. Previous experience in retail, sales and customer service is helpful. Job duties once trained include communicating lens options to patients, explaining insurance coverage, making recommendations on frame selection, submitting orders to lab, creating invoices/posting payments, repairs, adjustments, trouble-shooting problems, maintaining frame displays, maintaining work space, ordering contact lenses, and assisting office staff in other departments when necessary with phone calls, scheduling appointments, pre-testing, etc. You will be joining an existing team of hard-working, positive professionals.
