Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment tailored specifically for infants. Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care for infants, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional development in infants
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures, to respond effectively to emergencies
- Observe and document developmental milestones, behaviors, and individual needs of each infant
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements that support early childhood development standards
- Adhere to mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Support classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and social skills among infants
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations related to childcare and early childhood education
Skills
- Proven experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare center, or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid training
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations
- Classroom management skills tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers
- Knowledge of early childhood education best practices and child supervision techniques
- Experience in behavior management strategies suitable for young children
