Byrdie Bar is seeking professional, skilled, and guest service oriented Bartenders and Bar Backs to join our team. Our goal is to provide a premium bar service and experience for private events. We bartend a ton of high end corporate events as well as numerous Weddings, Birthdays, Graduation Parties, Holiday Parties, etc. behind our custom built portable bars and as preferred vendors at venue bars.
If you have at least three years of RECENT bartending experience, love getting creative with cocktails, thrive in a fast paced environment, are 21+, a team player, open to traveling around the Metro-Detroit area and up to an hour away from Berkley, and are able to provide top-notch guest experience at events....we may be a great fit for you!
Tons of flexibility with this position - you pick up what shifts work for you. Work as much or as little as you'd like. However, we need bartenders with availability both weekdays and weekends. $18/hour plus tips - averages to roughly $35-$50/hour. This is NOT a full time position - it will be around three-five events a month, maybe more depending on work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Setup and Breakdown of Bars
- Transporting bars to location on occasion
- Mix cocktails and mocktails to Byrdie Bar Standards
- Check identification of guests and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Provide excellent guest service for all events
- Interact with all guests
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance & grooming – proper uniform at all times
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize needs of the bar
- Be ok with physical demands of, but not limited to, long shifts standing or walking more than 80% of the shift sometimes exceeding 8 hours, lifting up to 50 pounds, and pushing/pulling 50 pounds
Requirements:
- MUST have reliable transportation – some events are roughly an hour away
- Possess at least three year of RECENT previous Bartender Experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Good verbal communication skills
- A dedication to hospitality
