Our Houston,TX location has immediate opportunities for owner-operators / independent contract delivery drivers to join our operation. we are needing a 16ft Box Truck for the routes that we have in Houston,TX. All drivers in the listed areas and surrounding cities, we want to hear from you!
As a 1099 contract driver, your role involves working as an independent contractor, often on a project-by-project basis. Here are some common responsibilities for 1099 drivers:
- Delivery Services: You’ll transport goods, packages, or supplies from one location to another. This could include food delivery, medical supplies, or other items12.
- Vehicle Operation: You’ll operate your own vehicle to complete deliveries. Following routes and adhering to safety regulations are essential.
- Communication: Timely communication with clients or dispatchers is crucial. But driver will use GPS navigation, you’ll need to provide updates on delivery status and any issues that arise.
- Equipment and Supplies: As an independent contractor, you’ll be responsible for providing your own equipment (such as a vehicle) and necessary supplies.
- Record Keeping: Keeping accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and expenses is essential for tax purposes.
Immediate Driver Opportunities:
- Vehicle Needed: 16ft Box Truck !!!
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00am to till last drop
- Compensation: Routes can pay from $200.00 to 400.00 per day depending on distance,volume,and time needed to complete. Multiple routes are available.
- Paid semi-monthly.
Independent Contract Driver Requirements:
- Delivery Knowledge: Driver experience preferred but not required
- Understanding of Directions: Must have a smart phone and able to find your way around your delivery area with a GPS or map
- Professionalism: Dependable and responsible individual able to interact well alongside staff members, management and clients. Excellent customer service skills
- Good Standing Driving Record: Driver license, insurance, and a 3-year Motor Vehicle Report (obtained in the last 30 days) also, a current and valid vehicle registration
- Valid Driver’s License, Social Security Card and vehicle insurance is needed
- Must Be 21 Years or Older
