Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher for our Family Home Child Care to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for children of various ages. Duties
- Supervise and monitor children during daily activities, ensuring their health and safety according to the guidelines established in the WAC, at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, including preschool and enhanced toddler / toddler, care routines
- Supporting children with special needs' emotional well-being through positive behavior management and nurturing interactions
- Assist with feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene needs for toddlers and children with special needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Communicate regularly with Supervisor about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques
- Ability to work effectively with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with children, families, and team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or care requirements as needed
- Reliable form of transportation
Pay: $17.13 - $21.00 per hour
