Optician Needed!
Eyes of North Scottsdale is a private practice with an emphasis on creating a culture where staff members feel they are part of a family and patient’s expectations are exceeded.
We are growing and a part time optician position is available at our office. We are looking for an enthusiastic motivated individual to become part of our team! Our new staff member will be responsible for the selling, fitting, adjusting, and dispensing glasses. They will be expected to carry out general office tasks such as answering phones, patient scheduling, insurance verification, insurance billing, troubleshooting, and other tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis, while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients. We are looking for an enthusiatic candidate that has experience in an office setting, exceptional communication skills, a team player, is flexible as the office grows, has the ability to multitask, and most of all the passion to be instrumental in helping to lay the foundation for our growing company.
Candidate requirements:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● 2-3 years of experience in the optical field is highly sought after
● Familiarity working with many vision plans including Eyemed, VSP, Spectera, etc.
● Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
● The availability to work 30-32 hours including Saturdays. Schedule will be tailored to yours and our business's needs.
● Motivation and creativity to assist in other tasks that aid in office efficiency and growth of the practice
Job Responsibilities:
● Ability to sell premium quality glasses and contact lenses
● Skilled in fitting, adjustment, and dispensing glasses
● To be familiar with our optical inventory and products to provide the most appropriate selections for the patient
● Edge lenses with in-house optical equipment
● Answer phones to schedule patients and answer general questions
● Verify insurances and interpret benefits from a large variety of medical and vision plans
● Have the willingness and flexibility to learn and adapt in a variety of situations
● Must have the desire and investment in the practice to help with promotion and growth
Compensation depends on experience and skill level.
