Ross Local School District is seeking qualified applicants for a Special Education Paraprofessional position at Morgan Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This position provides instructional, behavioral, and personal support to students with disabilities in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment.
Start Date: August 2026, with multiple mandatory meetings prior to the first day.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must possess or be eligible to obtain an Ohio Educational Aide Permit.

Experience working with children, particularly students with disabilities, preferred.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
-
CPI, de-escalation, or behavior management training preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist the Intervention Specialist in implementing instructional activities, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support to individual students and small groups.

Support students in inclusive and special education settings throughout the school day.

Assist with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Provide supervision during lunch, recess, transitions, and other school activities as assigned.

Assist students with personal care needs, including toileting, hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance, when required.

Collect and maintain student data to support progress monitoring.

Prepare instructional materials and assist with classroom organization.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings.

Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or supervising Intervention Specialist.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, or assist students and materials up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the school day.

Ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations.
