Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations and a strong understanding of inventory management processes.
Duties
- Manage inventory control and maintain accurate stock levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks for loading and unloading goods.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including order picking, packing, and fulfillment.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards while handling materials.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning.
- Assist in stocking shelves and organizing warehouse space for optimal efficiency.
- Utilize RF scanners for tracking inventory movements and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve workflow.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to materials handling and heavy lifting.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and systems such as AS400 is advantageous.
- Experience operating heavy equipment including forklifts, order pickers, and cranes is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of packaging techniques and shipping processes is beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment maintenance is a plus.
