Industrial Maintenance Technician Trainee
FULL-TIME | MONDAY-FRIDAY | 6:00 A.M.-2:30 P.M. | CARSON CITY, NV
$21-$27 per hour, depending on relevant experience

Ametherm manufactures electronic components in Carson City. We are looking for a dependable, mechanically curious person who wants to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance. You do not need to know every system on your first day. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation, good judgment, and a genuine desire to learn.
You will work directly with our manufacturing equipment and gradually develop skills in preventive maintenance, mechanical repair, electrical troubleshooting, temperature controls, pneumatics, and other plant systems.
What You Will Learn and Do
· Help inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment.
· Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of worn components.
· Diagnose basic mechanical and electrical problems with support from experienced team members.
· Work with motors, belts, bearings, sensors, heating elements, controls, and pneumatic equipment.
· Read basic wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions.
· Safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and shop equipment.
· Help improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime.
· Maintain an organized, safe, and professional work area.
· Take on more technical responsibility as your knowledge and capabilities grow.
You May Be a Good Fit If You
· Enjoy working with your hands and solving practical problems.
· Have basic mechanical, electrical, automotive, equipment, or maintenance experience.
· Are comfortable learning through a combination of instruction and hands-on work.
· Can follow safety procedures and complete work carefully.
· Are dependable, communicate well, and follow through on assignments.
· Can work independently after being trained.
· Can lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around manufacturing equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Experience in industrial maintenance is helpful, but it is not required. Relevant personal, military, automotive, trade-school, facilities, production, or equipment-repair experience will be considered.

During your first several months, success means learning our equipment, completing preventive maintenance accurately, following safety procedures, and becoming someone the production team can depend on. As your skills develop, you will take greater ownership of troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment improvements.
