Part-time College Economics instructor with teaching duties in General Education College Transfer courses. Responsibilities also include active participation in departmental work on curriculum design, assessment, and pedagogy. Teaching assignments may be for day and/or evening hours and may be assigned at on-campus and off-campus teaching sites.
- Provide classroom instruction to students. Prepare for each learning experience; prepare, maintain, and update lesson plan; develop and prepare methods to evaluate student performance; assist in ordering supplemental materials to enhance textbook lessons as appropriate.

Develop and prepare tests to evaluate student performance; proctor tests; grade and record individual scores.

Maintain required office hours according to established policies and provide individual assistance to students outside of the classroom as appropriate

Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance; maintain various records and databases according to program needs or accreditation requirements, and submit reports according to policy.

Maintain current knowledge in the appropriate academic fields; participate in staff development programs, workshops, seminars, and other continuing education programs as appropriate.

Assist with and carry out, as required, the implementation of policies and procedures related to required instructional area and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and/or courses.

Communicate clearly, conscientiously, and interact with colleagues and students in a collegial and professional manner.

Assess the relevancy and impact of various lessons; revise and improve lesson format; evaluate a variety of textbooks, films, and videos; select books and other materials to be used for assigned instructional classes.

Degree Requirements:
Master’s degree in economics or closely related field required. If Masters's is in a closely-related field, the applicant must have at least 18 graduate hours in economics. Course work in the adolescent learner and the adult learner, course work in educational leadership, and course work in educational technology are all highly desirable.
Experience:
Experience teaching college-level economics is required. Experience with using instructional technology is required. Experience teaching in both high school and college environments is a plus. Willingness to teach in both high school and college environments is a requirement.
