About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman / Construction Laborer to join the Pintail Construction / To-Do Crew team. This position focuses on residential repair and maintenance work for property management companies, realtors, and homeowners. The ideal candidate is a versatile, hands-on professional who can independently complete a wide range of repair, maintenance, and light construction tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.
This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in the field across multiple properties and job sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform general residential maintenance, repairs, and small construction projects, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing, door and hardware installation, and basic remodeling tasks.
- Complete handyman work for property management companies, real estate professionals, and residential clients.
- Work independently from dispatched work orders, managing time and completing tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely to perform tasks such as framing, trim work, flooring repairs, fixture installation, and general repairs.
- Assess job needs on-site and troubleshoot issues to provide effective solutions.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with property managers, tenants, and homeowners when needed.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.
- Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in handyman work, residential maintenance, or construction preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general repair and maintenance tasks, including carpentry, drywall, basic plumbing, and finish work.
- Ability to read work orders and follow project instructions independently.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a variety of repair and installation tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs without close supervision.
- Familiarity with residential property maintenance and service work is a plus.
