Role Summary
The Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming, high-energy bar experience that reflects Cheba Hut’s culture, core values, and commitment to community. This role balances hospitality, safety, speed, and consistency while supporting overall shop operations. Bartenders are expected to lead with awareness, integrity, and a shop-first mindset—knowing when to prioritize guests, crew, and flow.

Create an Exceptional Guest Experience
Live the culture every shift—care, pride, and accountability matter here
Lead with interaction over transaction
Communicate clearly and professionally in both positive and corrective moments
Build rapport with guests and develop regulars through genuine connection
Confidently recommend specialty cocktails, craft beer, and food pairings
Deliver fast, accurate service while maintaining a calm, welcoming presence
Keep the bar, lobby, and patio clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
Uphold Bar & Product Standards
Follow Cheba Hut bar SOPs, recipes, and recipe cards exactly
Maintain FIFO, proper labeling, and shelf-life compliance
Stay current on drink builds, promos, and approved bar partners
Execute discounts and comps with integrity and within guidelines
Prioritize Cheba Hut specialty cocktails over shop-specific \"secret stash\" items
Ensure all secret stash cocktails are approved before service
Safety, Compliance & Awareness
Maintain constant situational awareness—head on a swivel mentality
Uphold all local, state, and federal alcohol laws and Cheba Hut ID policies
Hold and maintain required alcohol service certifications
Monitor guest consumption and intervene appropriately when needed
Follow all shift-drink and crew alcohol policies
Communicate incidents clearly and complete reports accurately and on time
Support Overall Shop Operations
Take bar and in-shop orders during peak periods as needed
Assist with expo, lobby support, and line work when the shop needs it
Execute \"lobby love\" during both peak and slow periods
Support phone orders when BOH is unavailable
Maintain beverage stations and prepare bubbler beverages (tea, Kool-Aid, etc.)

Ability to lift up to 47 lbs
Stamina to work up to an 8-hour shift
Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-stress environments
Ability to collaborate effectively with a team
Experience:
Bartending/ Barista : 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
Responsible Vendor (RV) Server Permit (Required)
