Job Description
Detroit Leadership Academy High School is looking for a coach to organize and oversee the training, development, and competition of students-athletes. The coach will be responsible for developing and implementing a program that is fun, safe, and positive for all students. The coach will also be responsible for ensuring the team is equipped with proper equipment and supplies to compete at the highest level within their school district.
Requirements:
- Previous coaching experience
- Experience managing athletics or individual athletic programs.
- Experience with working in diverse low-income communities, and sensitivity to and awareness of the needs of culturally diverse urban adolescents and families.
- Gives and receives constructive feedback appropriately.
- Experience with Microsoft word, excel, and PowerPoint.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Effective organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and desire to work as part of a team.
- Will successfully pass a criminal background check
