Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately while verifying dosage, interactions, and contraindications using advanced pharmacy information systems (PIS)
- Provide comprehensive patient care by assessing medication needs, monitoring therapy effectiveness, and adjusting treatments in collaboration with healthcare teams
- Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance by adhering to federal, state, and institutional guidelines for drug regulation and safety protocols
- Offer expert consultation on drug interactions, side effects, and proper medication administration to both patients and healthcare providers
- Manage sterile and non-sterile compounding processes, including aseptic techniques for IV infusions and other critical care medications
- Precept pharmacy residents and students, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence within the pharmacy team
- Maintain detailed documentation of medication dispensing, patient assessments, and clinical interventions to support quality assurance and accreditation standards
Experience
- Prior hospital pharmacy experience within Retail/ community/ independent pharmacy.
- Proven ability to operate pharmacy information systems (PIS), perform aseptic techniques for IV infusion preparation, and ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance
- Background in managed care settings with an understanding of drug regulation policies is advantageous
- Commitment to patient service excellence through effective communication skills and compassionate care delivery
