Granite Mesa Health Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance and Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our facility’s maintenance and environmental services departments. This role ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Schedule: Mon - Friday 9-5pm. On call as needed.
Pay: 50-55k / year
Location: In Person 1401 Max Copeland Drive, Marble Falls, TX
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance:
- Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility buildings, systems, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., fire safety, electrical codes, etc.).
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, installations, or inspections as needed.
- Maintain a log of maintenance schedules, completed work, and safety checks.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues.
Supervisory Duties (currently no direct reports but will likely have an assistant in the future) :
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate a team of maintenance staff.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and resident-centered care.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training sessions.
- Maintain time and attendance records, approve leave requests, and ensure adequate shift coverage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in building maintenance preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care environment strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, infection control, and building code standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and emergencies as needed.
Working Conditions:
- This role involves physical activity including walking, standing, lifting, and operating machinery.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, biohazards, and various environmental conditions may occur.
