EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position provides administrative guidance and oversight for statewide 911 program operations. It supports coordination with counties, partners, and stakeholders to ensure strong and consistent emergency service delivery. As a Administrative Officer 4, you will perform the following duties:

Program Oversight: Manage daily Public Safety Answer Point (PSAP) compliance activities and oversee statewide 911 Interconnectivity Grant Program functions

Standards Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain certification standards for planning, training, quality, operations, and technology

Grant Coordination: Review grants, track quarterly progress, and support the Service Enhancement Road Map Development process

Compliance Review: Inspect PSAP operations, evaluate certification reports, and ensure alignment with statewide requirements

County Support: Provide guidance, training, and assistance to county partners through frequent in state travel

Stakeholder Engagement: Work with the 911 Advisory Board, PSAPs, and vendors to support planning and system enhancements

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time upon successful completion of a training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $77,379.00 (before taxes).
