About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to support our manufacturing operations by ensuring thermoforming equipment is efficiently set up and maintained. In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing production processes through precise tooling adjustments, proactive maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. Your expertise will directly contribute to our operational success and product quality.
Responsibilities
- Install and remove thermoforming tooling to facilitate production changes and equipment upgrades.
- Conduct regular inspections and perform necessary repairs on thermoforming equipment to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with housekeeping standards.
- Utilize measuring tools such as rules, micrometers, and calipers to ensure precise equipment settings.
- Operate tool room equipment to fabricate or modify tooling components as needed.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with tool room mechanics to manage tooling inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with thermoforming equipment.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools (rule, micrometer, calipers).
- Demonstrated mechanical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Plastics - PA6.
- Experience with Thermoforming.
- Ability to interpret sketches, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
- Experience operating forklifts, hand-jacks, and hydraulic cranes.
