Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and responsible Local CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our local freight operations, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of goods while maintaining safety and efficiency. Your expertise in driving various types of trucks and handling freight will directly contribute to our reputation for dependable service. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other freight vehicles.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklift or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tanker contents.
- Execute route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently.
- Experience handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or similar equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards related to trucking operations.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude on the road.
