JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Supervisor (Full-Time Position)
Department: Milling, Shipping & Receiving
Reports To: General Manager
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm plus occasional overtime
SUMMARY
Woodland Wood Preservers, Ltd. is continuously seeking highly driven and enthusiastic people to join our skilled and dedicated team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS: Includes, but not limited to the following:
- Unload inbound materials from company trucks or outside carriers
- Load company trucks and outside carriers with material scheduled for the next day deliveries
- Interview and hire forklift drivers as needed
- Oversee training, supervision and safety of team members
- Process shipping document paperwork for outbound freight
- Process inbound loads paperwork, including inventory tagging
- Attend daily production meetings
- Communicate with management, drivers and sales through e-mail daily
- Forklift certified
- Manage and enforce company policies and procedures in a positive and proactive manner
- At shift end, ensure plant is secure and locked up
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years lumber/shipping & receiving or comparable experience preferably in a supervisor capacity
- Forklift experience loading/unloading flatbed trucks
- Education beyond High School a plus but not required
- Can perform basic math and use basic hand-held measuring tools
- Bilingual – English/Spanish a plus but not required
- Must have strong work ethic and strong organizational skills
- Be able to stand and/or walk throughout your shift
- Possess working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations
- Basic First Aid and CPR certified (or ability to obtain certification)
- Is comfortable in a fast-paced and growing environment
- PC skills is a plus

- Base Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00
Must be able to perform job duties for eight (8) working hours plus per day, including outdoor work and being exposed to inclement weather conditions.
