Team Lead Position Summary
Urban Bird is hiring Team Leads to help lead day-to-day shift execution and support restaurant operations on the floor. This role is an hourly position expected to work approximately 40 hours per week. Team Leads may support either Front of House or Back of House operations and are responsible for helping the team stay organized, guest-ready, and efficient during busy shifts.
This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and can help keep standards high while supporting both guests and teammates.
What You’ll Do
● Support daily shift operations and help keep service running smoothly
● Lead by example in either Front of House or Back of House execution
● Help train and coach team members during the shift
● Support guest service, speed, cleanliness, and consistency
● Step in wherever needed during busy periods to support the team
● Help ensure work areas stay clean, stocked, organized, and ready for service
● Reinforce standards for hospitality, teamwork, food quality, and urgency
● Communicate issues or opportunities to store leadership
Front of House Team Lead Focus
● Welcome guests and help create a positive in-store experience
● Support cashiers and front counter team members during busy rushes
● Help ensure orders are accurate and service stays organized
● Maintain a clean, stocked, guest-ready dining and front counter area
Back of House Team Lead Focus
● Support kitchen execution and help maintain speed and quality
● Reinforce recipe standards, food safety, and sanitation practices
● Help keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and organized
● Support prep, line readiness, and smooth coordination during peak periods
What We’re Looking For
● Prior restaurant experience in a leadership or high-accountability role preferred
● Ability to lead others while staying hands-on in daily operations
● Strong communication and teamwork skills
● Dependable, organized, and calm under pressure
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
● Availability to work approximately 40 hours per week in an hourly role
● Ability to support either Front of House, Back of House, or both depending on business
needs
