Job Summary:
Victory Energy, a leading residential solar installation company on a mission to accelerate the transition to clean energy, is seeking a seasoned and results-oriented Materials Specialist to join our growing team. Reporting to the Lead Design and Materials Manager, you will focus on the materials used in solar energy systems, ensuring their order accuracy, timely delivery, and accurate billing. Work with installers to make sure they are prepared with the correct materials for installs, and help them troubleshoot material related issues while on site. Contribute to the process of tracking, inventorying, and financial accounting of all Victory Energy owned job materials.
Responsibilities:
- Create Bills of Materials and Balance of Systems specific to customer projects
- Order equipment for stocking the warehouse and trucks for teammates to use in the field
- Work on improving Materials processes for solar and electrical equipment, aiming for higher production yields and reduced waste.
- Maintain consistent records on the life cycle of project material orders, ensuring internal accuracy and keeping our partners accountable for timely deliverables and order fulfillment.
- Work closely with other teams, including installers, distribution companies, and project managers, to ensure the successful implementation of solar projects.
- Work with customers to coordinate successful pickup and dropoff of equipment.
- Keep abreast of the latest advancements in solar materials technology and manufacturing processes.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in materials management or design within the solar or electrical industry
- Thorough understanding of Solar Equipment and Electrical Equipment common to residential solar installations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with installers, vendors, field leaders and customers
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order creation, inventory management, and quality control processes
- Ability to work in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.

The targeted compensation for this role is $60,000-$65,000 annually, however, it may vary depending on location. Illinois compensation expectations are $60,000-$65,000 annually.
