About the Opportunity
This job is in-person on the Oakland campus only.
Under the direction of the Group Fitness Coordinator, the Group Fitness Instructor/Personal Trainer is responsible for the following:
Administrative responsibilities – manage class cancellations and communicate with supervisor and participants, communicate with clients regarding scheduling, regularly check email and respond promptly.
Obtain and maintain current nationally accredited group fitness and/ or personal trainer certification(s).
Current certification in either American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED is required prior to teaching. Opportunities for certification will be provided occasionally at no cost; however, if you are not able to attend, you must obtain certification on your own.
The expected hiring range for this position is $35 to $55 per hour, based on the position’s scope and responsibilities.
