Discovery Programs is seeking an experienced and dedicated USAIGC Team Gymnastics Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate must have 5 or more years experience coaching all levels of USAIGC teams and strong spotting capabilities. The candidate should be a dependable team player and foster a positive and motivational environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct team workouts for various age groups and skill levels, focusing on progressive coaching, technique, strength, flexibility, and safety.
- Develop programming for the gymnasts levels and abilities.
- Provide individualized feedback to students to help them improve their skills.
- Ensure a safe training environment by enforcing safety protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor student progress and maintain records of their development.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to create a cohesive training program.
- Engage in behavior management techniques to maintain discipline during classes.
- Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages teamwork and personal growth among students.
- Keep USAG certifications up to date
Requirements
- 5+ years of coaching USAIGC teams, all levels
- Know the USAIGC Rule and Policies
- Experience and strong ability in spotting skills and knowledge of skill progression
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and staff effectively.
- Ability to create and conduct team programming or class programming
- Ability to work in conjuction with other coaches and follow team objectives
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs or more
- Abillity to be on your feet moving for 4 hours
- A passion for promoting well-being among youth.
